As the first season of New Sodom starts to wrap up, we introduce a new character to kick off the finale:
Elle as Truth, Hocus and Wolf of the Maelstrom
In this episode, Truth infiltrates the city, Grace infiltrates the Twygers, Susan plans to infiltrate Omie Wise’s tower, and Lively infiltrates a bear (trust us). Meanwhile, Mr. Silver plots and Man goes on an adventures.
We’re working on bringing this season home in the next episode or two, so stay tuned!
Susan and Marrow plan an assault on Omie Wise’s complex. Grace is almost captured. Marrow puts on a show, and Mr. Silver makes him an offer he can’t refuse. Man and Autumn have their first interaction (it doesn’t go well for her). Lively feeds the bears.
In this installment of our continuing Apocalypse World saga, Marrow tries to get Susan to come out of his shell, Lively gets inside of Man’s head and makes some… alterations, Man subsequently freaks Grace out, more dinner plans are laid, there is news of an impending arrival at the Goldmine, and the Wolves finally come en force for Grace.
Mr. Silver and the other PCs hatch a plot to stick it to Omie Wise and deal with the Locales. And because no plan survives contact with the enemy, things immediately go wahoonie-shaped. Also: we meet the Silver Goldmine’s chef, Grace changes playbooks (inviting serious trouble), Susan finally gets to use his big gun, Man works to make Lamprey feel “comfortable”, and Lively demonstrates how convincing he can be.
In this episode, we have unlikely heroes, likely villains, and a lot of tense action. Some of Silver’s debts come due, Man starts his recovery, Susan learns how bodies are disposed of at the Gold Mine (and also that his systems don’t always agree with brainers). Several plots are hatched, and many wheels begin to turn.
In this episode we get a flashback to Lively, Hugo, and Grace’s morning together before she left for Lamprey’s, Mr. Silver makes a deal with Lively, Grace has her first meeting with Lamprey since her imprisonment, Susan deals with the Twygers, Man convinces Mr. Silver to let him wrestle (for show, of course), evidently, someone gives Mr. Silver a motive, and – as it turns out – Man is very, very bad at staged combat.
Trigger Warning: this episode contains descriptions of a woman becoming trapped in a dangerous, abusive situation that some listeners may find disturbing.
In this episode, Mr. Silver gets a visit from the Locales, Man and Susan have bro time, Grace finds out what her deal with Omie Wise actually entails, and Susan starts his recon mission for the dolphin command.
This was a short episode because of a family emergency. Don’t worry – everything turned out ok!
In this episode, Camo makes a move on Mr. Silver’s business. The Locales come down on Lively. Man and Susan dispose of a body. Grace convinces Man to stand up for himself. Grace makes a foolish deal with Omie Wise and a canny deal with Mr. Silver. Susan and Man both demonstrate their loyalty, Lively runs into the Twygers, Susan checks in with command, and we finish with a delicious Brainer-Skinner-Maestro’D virtual three-way.
